Waylon's 1 year old brithday party.

Today I went to Waylon's first birthday party. It's so crazy that Waylon is already one, time flys. It just seems like yesterday when I was taking pictures of him for his 9 month photo session. He is becoming a little big man now. It was so funny to watch him eat his cake. He started off slow, but then after a while he really got into it.

Feeding mommy some cake.

Crazy Sky

This afternoon I was working on my computer and looked out my window in my room right before sunset. I knew with the storm approaching that it was going to be one crazy sunset. So I grabed my camera and watched this unbelievable sunset unfold right before me on my deck. So here are a few picks, enjoy.

The colors changed so fast, these next two pictures were only taken a few seconds apart from each other.

[b]ecker's party of 5 workshop

Yesterday I went down to a wedding workshop in Mission Viejo to learn from the world famous [b]ecker. I had a blast and learned a ton. Which I will now apply to my biz. The great thing about this workshop was that instead of being just another face in the crowd, it was more personal. There was only five of us and [b]ecker teaching us his secrets all day long. We got to go on an engagement shoot with him down in San Jan Capistrano, which was real fun. We went down to the old part of town near the train station to take the photos. So here are some of my photos from the engagement shoot.
Check out [b]eckers blog to see his great shots.

Bike Ride In the Sierras

When I went up to Mammoth last weekend I was able to bring my road bike and go riding. I think I have a biking problem now. I never thought that I would ski for 4 hours and then go ride my bike 25 miles when the temps where in the middle to low 30's. And then go do it the next day, but cut it down from 3 hours of skiing and only 20 miles on the bike in the same freezing temps. I love it though it keeps me in great shape and I get to enjoy the outdoors. This bike ride was probably the most scenic ride I have done so far and on the second day with a storm rolling in it was breath taking being out there. Here are some photos that I took with my point & shoot camera on the second day.

The start of the ride off of hwy 395, looking back at Mammoth MT. and the Minarets.

The Lost Playground

When I stopped to take some pictures of my superhero car in Pearsonville, there was also a giant lady that I wanted to take photos of too. So when I walked over to take some photos of this road side giant, I found that there was an old forgotten playground behind her. I haven't seen a playground like this in years. Now days playgrounds are built to be safer than a padded room for the crazies. I think that was part of the fun when I was a kid, was getting hurt and then dusting yourself off and playing some more on those death traps. Here are some of the photos of the playground and the giant lady.

I just had to play on this one. One of my all time favorites as a kid.

I remember playing on this one for hours as a kid at my elementary school.

Funny thing I didn't see one hup cap while I was there.
